Frequently asqued questions

Will there be an Operation Red Nose campaign in 2020?

Operation Red Nose is holding its 37th annual campaign in Canada, without the safe ride service, completely online. From December 1st to 31st, the population is invited to take the reins for their safety and become ambassadors for road safety. Go to take-the-reins.com to discover all you need about the online campaign!

Operation Red Nose wishes to remind you to always plan a safe way to get home, adapting to public health guidelines that apply in your community: call a cab, call a friend, or stay overnight.

Why was the safe ride service suspended for the 2020 Holiday season?

Given the current public health situation, and after careful consideration of its impact on the logistics of the service, the Operation Red Nose team has decided not to provide the safe ride service in 2020.

If the situation were to improve in a specific community, would it be possible to provide the safe ride service in that community?

The Operation Red Nose safe ride service is an important event that requires months of preparation. Even if the public health situation were to suddenly improve, it would not be possible for us to organize the safe ride service on such short notice.

How can I donate to my local host organization?

Online donations are now accepted via a secure platform, developed by Yapla. Go to take-the-reins.com and follow instructions.
